Golden" is the second quilt I created using the fabric mosaic technique.
My husband , Martin, took the photograph of our granddaughter on the shore of Seattle's Lake Union in the late afternoon summer sun and a light breeze blowing her golden hair.
When my daughter saw this quilt for the first time , tears filled her eyes and as she hugged me all she could manage to say was, "Oh, Mom..."
The photograph my husband took had a lot of people and buildings in the background. Using the computer and our photo manipulation software, I was able to remove everything I didn't want to get just this beautiful image.
